Documentaries
Life, death and everything in between...
We have produced two documentaries about life in Africa today: "Life in African Czestochowa" and "Centocow Mission". One centers around the history of the catholic mission Centocow - originally named Czestochowa, when established in 1888 (after a famous Polish shrine of the same name which is like Lourdes for the Central Europe).

The other tells the story of how the Pauline Monks from the original Czestochowa came to take care of the dilapidated mission and the people living around it, fifteen years ago. They're working hard comforting the dying and helping the living in a place far removed from everything they knew in their native Poland. Centocow Mission is in the heart of South Africa's Zululand, an area strongly affected by poverty and the AIDS epidemic where, according to official estimates, 60% of population is infected with the deadly virus.

An eye-opener for anyone not happy with his or her life. It's a place where you have to walk for miles to fetch water, and death is ubiquitous. A place where second chances are rarely given.
Those documentaries were acquired by Poland's public television.
